Call queue: Sign in and Sign out of queue

A Skype for Business (Lync) call queue lets nominated staff members answer phone calls to a Response Group queue.Within the portal it is possible to configure the call queue and assign nominated staff (https://portal.thevoiceofo365.com).

Staff can then sign-in to the queue when "on-duty" to answer incoming calls to the queue number, and sign-out when "off-duty".

Calls to the queue will only ring on your computer if you are signed-in to the queue. You can either stay signed in all the time, or sign-in and sign-out as needed.

Access the Call Queue sign-in webpage

Windows

  1. Open Skype for Business.


  2. Select the dropdown arrow next to the Settings cog icon.





  3. Select Tools > Response Group Settings.

    The webpage will open in your web browser that lets you sign-in to or sign-out of any of the Groups you are assigned to.

Mac

  1. Open the Response Group web page: https://lyncweb.softapp-distribution.com/RgsClients/tab.aspx 

    The webpage will open in your web browser that lets you sign-in to or sign-out of any of the Groups you are assigned to.

Sign-in when on-duty

  1. Access the Response Group sign-in webpage.


  2. To sign-in, check the box next to your selected Group.




    Calls to the Response Group Number will now ring on your computer.

Sign-out when off duty

  1. Access the Response Group sign-in webpage.


  2. To sign-out, uncheck the box next to your selected Group.




    Calls to the Response Group Number will no longer ring on your computer until you sign-in to the Group.

IMPORTANT

It can happen that on the first try when changing the status an error is shown. Please just try again. The server is missing a link between you and the response group and creates it during the second try. The second try it will work. Otherwise contact support@softapp-distribution.com.
