For TVO365 to work correctly you need to create a number of DNS records.All traffic towards TVO365 is through our internet facing servers.
For example, your domain is contoso.com . Change all contoso.com values to your own domain. Both internally and externally.
Migrations before 1 februari 2019
All migrations prior to 1 februari 2019 used different settings. The only change is that the name of the A record of ID 1 and 2 changed to access. All configurations are still valid.

SIP hostname information
If the hostname access is in use. Another hostname can be used (for example sipaccess or sip). For migration from office 365 or legacy lync or skype for business a different hostname can be used than the currently in use (default is sip.domain.com).
How to migrate
- Point the access.domain.com records to the IP addresses in table-1 (value: ID 1 and 2).
- Notify support@softapp-distribution.com of the modification in DNS records.
- The certificate extension for access.domain.com will be requested and loaded to our edge servers.
- TVO365 will notify the customer of the change. Migration is possible now.
- All other records can be pointed towards TVO365 (ID 3, 4 and 5).
The certificate extension for lyncdiscover.domain.com will be requested during the migration.
IMPORTANT
For easy migration set up access.domain.com A records first instead of sip.domain.com. Notify support@softapp-distribution.com of your change. We can request certificates on this domain after the records are pointed towards our EDGE servers. When this is done, change the remaining records.
Verifying the DNS settings
- Open a Command Prompt
- Start nslookup <enter>
- Type 'set type = all'
- Type in the DNS records you want to check
- access.domain.com
- lyncdiscover.domain.com
- _sipfederationtls ._ tcp.domain.com
- _sip ._ tls.domain.com
- After pressing enter you will get a result from the lookup. Make sure that the values match the above values. If you receive a non-authoritative answer, check the spelling, the DNS records or check the DNS provider propagation.
