Skype for business zal door middel van de MAPI-koppeling een verbinding maken met outlook.
Gevolgen van een niet werkende MAPI-koppeling zijn:
- Contacten worden niet weergegeven in de zoeklijst.
- Op inkomende gesprek pop-ups worden de namen van inkomende gesprekken niet weergegeven.
Diagnose
Om de status van de MAPI-koppeling te controleren houdt u CTRL ingedrukt en klikt u met de rechtermuisknop op het Skype for Business taakbalk icoon.
Vervolgens kijkt u in de lijst naar MAPI-status.

Consequences of a non-functioning MAPI link are:
- Contacts are not displayed in the search list.
- Incoming call pop-ups do not display the names of incoming calls.
Diagnose
To check the status of the MAPI link, hold down CTRL and right-click on the Skype for Business taskbar icon.
Then look in the list for MAPI status.
There are a number of different status:

| MAPI Unavailable | The link with Outlook has not been made. |
Solution
Important points for establishing this link are as follows;
- User account in Skype for Business and outlook must match. The SMTP and SIP address must be the same.
- Outlook must be started.
- The SMTP address must be your default address in Outlook.
