Step 5: Assign phone numbers

The numbers will be assigned by us to the users. This is done on the basis of the numbers supplied from step 3.

Automatic synchronization

If use is made of automatic user creation by means of synchronization, numbers can be assigned as follows:

  1. For SoftApp distribution, indicate support for the general numbers that are sent outside (per sip domain).

    1. So for example: 31855363010 is the general main number

    2. Mail support@softapp-distribution.com the general main number + your domain (for example softapp-distribution.com). 


  2. Set the telephoneNumber attribute to the user: 

    1. Conditions :

    • The number must always be in the format E164 with a + (so + 31xxxxxxxx)

    • Main numbers are linked to a voice policy. Users will not be reachable on this number (unless they are in the workgroup where this number comes from).

    • Personal numbers may not appear twice in the list. In that case, the last number read out will not be assigned.

    • The user must be present in the EnterpriseVoiceEnabled group. 


  3. The user will be assigned the number within one hour (if the sync has been done).
