SoftApp-distribution accomodates various SIP trunks with various settings. Customers are able to set their own security preferences per provided trunk.
Common security features are:
- IP based access
- VPN based access
- Username/password
The the skype for business mediation server (which provides sip trunking capabilities) is not externally available. All SIP and RTP traffic is routed through a Audiocodes Mediant server. This server wil only access IP address within a whitelisted range. Most trunks are configured with one of the above settings.
